How Turn Off 2-Factor Sign In?

I use a VPN. Today I tried to tie into web Evernote and got challenged for a two-factor sign in. I never authorized using a two-factor sign in. How do I turn the thing off?

Go to your account online and the security tab, it’s in there. You really should enable it though for the extra layer of security.

It isn't something that can be turned on without your participation. You have to have provided and confirmed a mobile phone number to receive SMS or connected an Authentication app such as Google Authenticator.

If you enable „Sign in by …“ or „Trust this device“ you won’t be asked. So maybe you forgot you have enabled it, back then.

By using a VPN you possibly cloaked your true location, and this cause the server to request the second factor.

It did so to protect YOUR account !
