Quick notes crash app and don't save

Recommended Posts

I'm becoming convinced Evernote doesn't actually believe in regression testing.

For the past week and a half or so, about 90% of the time, quick notes don't work on Android.  I didn't notice this at first and lost several notes, because the only indication is hasn't worked is a quick flash of red on the screen, and then the app is crashed the next time you try to open it.  This is happening on my wife's phone as well, so much be a fairly common issue.

Not losing notes is about the most critical feature there is for a note-taking app.

Meanwhile daily reminder digest emails have been missing reminders for close to a month now, and moving notes into large notebooks is now basically impossible.

Apparently somebody posted a piece of unfounded information, and apparently somebody else has nothing better to do than repost it. Oh the marvels of social media …

The topic itself has been discussed in this forum some months ago. Not really breaking news.

The guy who spends all his time shilling in the Evernote forums, talking about people having nothing better to do.  The way things are going, you may need to get a new hobby.

There are multiple people in that thread claiming to have heard it directly from laid-off employees, and that the layoffs happened today.  Yeah, it's possible it's made up, but more likely it's true, and will be more mainstream news in a day or two.  There were also massive layoffs back in February, which is probably the discussion you're thinking of.

Anything constructive to tell ?

You posted unfounded information, it was named as such, and now you get funny.

Read the thread, there is hearsay by one poster, no further reference, among a lot of other posts not holding any relevant information.

There is somebody else who claims he lost 25.000$ on EN shares. EN was always privately held and never traded publicly.

This about the quality of information. If there is anything substantial, it will make the web for sure, but in places where it can be checked for substance.
