Search Box at top of note, Index table with internal links to headings

Michael Kruse

Idea

I know I can do control H but  have composite notes that have a lot of subcategories, and barring the addition of an index table you can have headings linked to, I need a very quick way to search for the content - having an in-note search box in both the desk top and mobile product would help a lot

Also, I think it used to highlight the location of general search terms in the selected notes, but once the note is identified in global search with the search term, I have to scroll throuh the note to find the highlighted term - why is there not a way to go directly to the hit, rather than having to scroll?

When you open the Find in note  (Crl+F) or search and replace un note  (Ctrl+H) the search field is pre populated with the search term you have used in the main search. Hitting enter then cycles through the occurences of the term in the note.

I don't really understand why this is very different from ctrl+F.
