E.L 2 Posted June 26, 2023 Posted June 26, 2023 I haven't been able to sketch with the S-Pen on a Samsung S23 ultra in weeks. After a few seconds, it blocks the strokes (also with your finger). The funny thing is that the Pen works for the function keys / icons. I have disabled all functions of the Pen but the error continues. I have also installed older versions of Evernote and the problem persists. In previous versions of the Note it works and always worked. It is not feasible for me to use it without Pen (precision) If it is not solved soon I have to change the app (well or throw away the phone, I am doubting) 2
Evernote Expert agsteele 3,074 Posted June 26, 2023 Evernote Expert Posted June 26, 2023 I don't believe that Evernote supports the S-Pen but I may be wrong... It has been known.
Level 5 Dave-in-Decatur 4,014 Posted June 27, 2023 Level 5 Posted June 27, 2023 Evernote definitely supports it. What I find is that I can sketch or write or a few strokes (S-Pen or finger), then it stops working. @E.L, welcome to the forums. Please look around for the existing threads on this to get further information, and post there. 3 1
AZcoigreach 1 Posted June 27, 2023 Posted June 27, 2023 Same issue. I can sketch for a few seconds. Then the app does not recognize the s-pen anymore. Just noticed now that it doesn't work with my finger either. This is crippling. I need to be able to write notes please. 1
Brian O Mainin 1 Posted July 14, 2023 Posted July 14, 2023 Same issue here. I would consider this a fundamental feature of any note taking app. Very Frustrating 1
CreativeCorinne 2 Posted July 17, 2023 Posted July 17, 2023 Also having this same issue on tab S7+. This is awful, because I loved being able to use evernote for my class notes :( it lets me write one or two strokes, then stops working. 2
Pujan 1 Posted September 19, 2023 Posted September 19, 2023 It used to work before July. Some update killed it. 1
alfons van blaaderen 0 Posted September 20, 2023 Posted September 20, 2023 I have the same issue(s) with my relatively old Samsung Galaxy Note 8 pen. Is recognized for some seconds than stops working. If this is not addressed soon, will leave evernote (am user since 2008). The pen support/issue appeared for me a week ago or so (after evernote was updated).
alfons van blaaderen 0 Posted September 20, 2023 Posted September 20, 2023 P.S. Was using evernote to write notes with the Note 8 and its pen already for over 5 years!!
NenoN 0 Posted September 20, 2023 Posted September 20, 2023 The same problem with me. I use Note 8 and when I try to write it gives me few lines and that it blocks. It's funny that there is no answer here from developers about the issue. We are seeking for the solution.

To me this is not that "funny". I have been an Evernote user since 2008, and am also paying for this tool. If I cannot use it to write notes on my phone anymore, I will stop using (and paying) for this App and find it quite shocking that loss of such basic feature of the App on Android phones simply with an update which is not checked properly is not reacted at by developers at all!!
Level 5 Dave-in-Decatur 4,014 Posted September 26, 2023 Level 5 Posted September 26, 2023 It is disturbing. If you have not reported it to support yet, it would be a good idea to do so. They need to realize how many people are affected. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
