Anna Sophia A. 2 Posted May 27, 2023 Posted May 27, 2023 POSSIBLE BUG ON SKETCH Device specifications: - Samsung S22 Ultra / Android 13 - Evernote for Android 10.51 Hi low! Whenever I try to use the pen of my S22 Ultra to sketch, it stops working out of nowhere. Using my finger won't work either. How does this feature work for others? Let me know please. 2
Ietze 3 Posted June 4, 2023 Posted June 4, 2023 I have the same problem using Samsung TAB S7+. Asked the helpdesk. Still no solution. Perhaps you could also send your problem to the helpdesk. 2
Level 5 PinkElephant 9,019 Posted June 4, 2023 Level 5 Posted June 4, 2023 Must be one of these Android issues gain. Apple Pencil on an iPad works with sketch as it used to work. EN iOS 10.51.1 - so it seems the mobile client in general is OK. Is there something specific about Samsung devices ? I sometimes have the impression a lot of bug reports on Android are coming from users of Samsung devices. But on the other hand they sell a lot of devices, so it could be coincidental.
Level 5 Dave-in-Decatur 4,014 Posted June 4, 2023 Level 5 Posted June 4, 2023 Definitely an Android issue, as shown by these other 3 already existing threads:
Subarnab Sadhukhan 3 Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 I am facing the same issue on the Samsung s6 Lite tablet. I found that if I draw with my hands, it works, with no problem. But, as soon as I touch the Stylus, the sketch stops working. The screen also tries to parse my handwriting to text. The problem is there, The OS can't understand that it is a sketching area where I freely want to draw. It may confuse the sketching area with the search bar feature, where we write words with Spen and the words parse to text.
nikavarta 3 Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 Same here. Been using Evernote v.10 on Galaxy Note 9 and 10. If I'm lucky, I can get a stroke or two with my S Pen in Sketch before it stops responding and freezes; the finger works alright though. Definitely the problem is on Evernote's end of things, as I've tried drawing/writing with my S Pen in dozens of apps on both devices, and none whatsoever besides Evernote had this problem. Moreover, the three year old Android version 8.13.3 of Evernote (that I usually go back to after trying out the current v. 10-smth every once in a while and find it still rather slow, buggy and routinely unable to open/save/sync/render notes and images properly) actually can handle using the S Pen in Sketch just fine still. It's just v. 10 that's unable to do so. 1
