Transition to uppercase

Whenever I tap on the icon for my keyboard to switch a word or phrase to uppercase that word or phrase gets deleted. I've also had instances where it places me at the bottom of the note.

Are you Teams (business) user?  If not,  please confirm your device,  OS and Evernote version.  AFAIK Evernote does not have a text conversion option - highlighting text and hitting a key replaces the text with the content of that key - if there is one.  Have you been able to convert text in this way before?  If so,  how and where?

Here's a guess. Android and using the Gboard keyboard. This is a known and unresolved issue with Gboard and the Evernote app for Android.
