(Archived) How do I delete a tag from the tag list?

I'm trying to delete my tags with 0 notes. I can click and drag the tag to the trash or select the tag and hit delete, but nothing happens either way. (I downloaded the new version of Evernote this morning.)

Try right-clicking (command-clicking) and then choose the Delete option

This doesn't seem to work either. Command-Click doesn't highlight the Delete option in the Edit menu. It does allow me to select multiple non-consecutive tags from the list. What else can I try?

Also, I can't figure out how to empty my trash. What's the trick?

It's not Command-Click. It's Control-Click. That will bring up the contextual menu. One of the options is delete.

FYI: There is an AppleScript that will automatically find all tags with zero notes and delete them for you.
