snail 0
Hello, I have been observing sync related problems ever since started using Version 4. Activity log:12:39:00 [5836] 0% Connecting to http://www.evernote.com12:39:00 [5836] 0% * loaded updateCount: 115212:39:00 [5836] 0% Client is up to date with the server, updateCount=115212:39:00 [5836] 0% * saved updateCount: 115212:39:01 [5836] 0% Session terminated normally, elapsed time: 0s12:39:01 [5836] 0% * sent: 224B, received: 138B12:39:01 [5836] 0% * 0s (73%) spent in EDAM RPCI do not know what the log is saying, but I have 3 notes in the Unsynced Notes category. Manually pressing the Sync button keeps telling me that "Synchronization is complete," but never takes care of the 3 new notes.Version: 4.1.0.3381 (115727)Windows Vista Home Premium 64 Bit Link to comment
amakker 0
Can you please go to evernote.com and login and see if you can see those 3 notes? Link to comment
Level 5 kvitekp 299 Posted December 16, 2010 Level 5 Share Posted December 16, 2010 snail,Please move the notes from the "Unsynced notes" notebook to the synchronized notebook and press Sync. The sync should fail and move those notes back to unsynced notes. Open the activity log window (Help/Activity Log) and copy/paste its end for us to see. This should tell us what's wrong with those notes.../Peter Link to comment
snail 0
@ amakker, no the notes do not show up on web version of Evernote either. @ kvitekp, I did what you suggested and here is the log: 10:15:09 [2248] 0% Connecting to www.evernote.com10:15:09 [2248] 0% * loaded updateCount: 115310:15:09 [2248] 0% Client is up to date with the server, updateCount=115310:15:09 [2248] 0% * saved updateCount: 115310:15:09 [2248] 0% Updating server items10:15:09 [2248] 25% Skipping note "*******************" flagged as unsyncable (0x4) local flags (ENML_VALIDATION)10:15:09 [2248] 37% Skipping note "************************" flagged as unsyncable (0x4) The element type "br" must be terminated by the matching end-tag "". rafael.munoz 0
I have some problems with the sync too (viewtopic.php?f=56&t=20889#p88157). In that thread you can see a way to "correct" your notes and make the synchronization works. This seems to be a more wide issue than a problem with Opera or a specific application ... I hope that Evernote corrects its as soon as possible. Link to comment

Level 5 kvitekp 299 Posted January 11, 2011 Level 5 Share Posted January 11, 2011 snail,The fix is not retrospective, so your unsyncable notes need to be fixed manually. The easies way to do this is to copy/paste note content in place.Sorry for inconvenience,/Peter Link to comment

What is then the point of hotkey to automatically copy paste text into Evernote? I have seen this sync problem when using hotkey to automatically copy paste from Opera, and Yahoo messenger. Any genuine fix in the works?Thank you. Link to comment
Jay_G 14
I had the same problem with unsynchronized notes. I was transferring my bookmarks from firefox to evernote, which corrupted the notes in some way... It happens when i copy paste a bookmark from the firefox bookmark library (open with control-shift-b from firefox). Then click on a bookmark. Control-C control-V to an evernote note and it gets corrupted.Luckily only 7 notes got corrupted before i noticed something strange was happening... Link to comment

Cpt Stroparo 1
Same as @Jay_G (Posted 13 March 2013 - 08:07 PM) i.e. transferring firefox bookmarks to Evernote yields eternally unsynced notes, despite of several trials to copy and move it to synced directories... Link to comment
