Aamado 0
Hello Development Team, Is there a patch coming that will allow the annotation feature on the IPad to zoom in? It is incredibly difficult to read a pdf, even with a 12.9 inch screen. Link to comment

The best way to contact them is via a support request if you have a paid subscription (https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new), or via the feedback feature in the apps. 1 Link to comment

I second reaching out to support of course but prepare to frustrated. Support to date can’t replicate it and all they tell me is to uninstall and reinstall and make sure I’m running the latest version. Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,705 Posted March 13, 2023 Level 5 Share Posted March 13, 2023 Can't replicate - hmmmmm. When I send them a ticket, way back, it was all replicated, talked about and served to the devs. We run EN here at home on different accounts and on several iPads and can replicate the problem 1:1 on all of them. Amazingly zoom while annotating works without any problem on iPhones. It seems the app just believes if the screen is already "big" enough, it can save itself some work and quit zooming. Another support ticket, maybe ... ? Link to comment

Another support ticket, maybe ... ? Yup. Each and every time they can't replicate it. I know others like you have been able to have it replicated. After the third ticket I gave up and started using something more robust for annotation and then put it back in Evernote when I'm done. I refuse to send another ticket. For me, the problem was solved with a different app with more features that syncs to Evernote. Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,705 Posted March 13, 2023 Level 5 Share Posted March 13, 2023 On a Mac it’s slick for a change, opening the Preview app directly. It has much better annotation features than the „Skitch on a shoestring“ tools they offer natively. After it saves back into the original pdf, inside of the original note. You have any tool on the iPad that saves back to the original note ? On the iPad I only have apps that will create a new note from the edited pdf. Link to comment

All my PDFs go into Apple notes first, I annotate as needed. They stay there till I’m done, and then I stick that annotated PDF into Evernote for storage. When I used it a version or two ago, it was great. Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,705 Posted March 13, 2023 Level 5 Share Posted March 13, 2023 Hmmmm - it sounds sort of a contradiction to me to use a different app to annotate, and keep content outside of EN while the annotations may go on. It creates duplication, and keeps documents in 2 different locations - enhanced by the fact that Spotlight search won’t find content in EN. I understand the motivation, it shows what this broken function can provoke. About Noteshelf: I like that it syncs into EN, but I didn’t like it in general. So I use GoodNotes, and export the notes into EN once I am done. Yes, another duplication … Link to comment

I have goodnotes as well but 2023 is the year of me teaching people how to use stock apps so that's why I moved that to Apple Notes. 1 Link to comment
