(Archived) Encrypting PDFs...?

Right now the current system only allows for plain-text encryption. ... Will there be any way of having a Evernote-encrypted PDF system working in place anytime soon? (And not encrypting the PDF out of Evernote?)

For PDFs, we'd recommend encrypting it when you create it (i.e. before putting it into Evernote). Securely encrypting files attached to Evernote makes it very hard to offer most of the features people expect from Evernote on various platforms, so we stick with text (HTML) only for a good overall experience.
