Recovering an Account tied to a discontinued email address

My original evernote account was tied to an old work email address. This is back before I had any sense. Now I have the email and the password that was used for the account, but when I try to log in I get the message "Evernote must reset your password", and would need to send a password reset email...to the email on the account...which no longer works...

Is there any way to recover this account and the material stored within it? I have some personal notes and speeches in there that mean a lot to me.
