EN Version 10.52.8 issue with default folder number notes displayed

Environment Evernote Windows version 10.52.8

I noticed that my default folder shows a different number of notes than it is displaying in the view window

see attached pic 

if I sign out and sign back in it seems to align ....but new notes don't display

I tried different views to no avail

is there a better solution than to sign out and sign in 

this is a little frustrating

Try sign out again but select the remove my data option. When you sign back in your data is rebuilt including lock indices.

I see what your saying, however 

I think I may have " check boxed of of those do not ask checkboxes "  is there a way to uncheck  it?  when I go to "sign out"  I no longer have the option to remove my data

App settings - app (the first tab).

I am not aware of how you can get the exit box back, if there is an option it is well hidden ...
