Can't find a Search box on my android tablet

Why is there not a  Search box in the sidebar on my Android tablet such as the one that appears in the sidebar, above the +New button, on my Evernote desktop app?  What do I need to do to add a Search box to my Evernote Android app?

On iPadOS there is a magnifying glass in the left panel of the EN app.

On iPhone iOS is a magnifying glass bottom right.

No idea on Android.
