software developer Q.... does an client app like evernote on macos send every keystroke up to the server?

i guess this is really a Q for developers of client/server apps.

when i type info into a note on my evernote app on macos....when does the data get sent up to the evernote server?  i ask this because there is no 'save' or enter button on the screen. so is each keystroke getting sent?

i used to use salesforce and I think there was a save key and if you forgot to hit it , your data never got sent.

On desktop it saves to the local database. The changes of the local database is synced with the server in the background.
