BEHA 73
Hi, I have a note linked to 3 other notes. But when I click on the backlink label on top of the note, there are 2 mistakes: - my note has THREE, not two backlinks. - When I open the backlink label, it shows two note links that do not exist in this note. Yes, my 3 note links in this note are valid and working. See screenshot: - Red is the backlink label with wrong count of backlinks - Blue are my 3 linked notes - Green are the wrong notes when clicking on the backlink label Is this a bug, has anyone the same problem? I'm using Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 with Android 13 and the latest Evernote from Google PlayStore. Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,935 Posted January 9, 2023 Level 5 Share Posted January 9, 2023 Since the backlink feature is new, I think you should contact support about it. The forum is user2user - we mostly trade our experience and fixes & workarounds found / reported by other users. On backlinks there isn’t much yet. Link to comment

I think it's just a misunderstanding on your part of what backlinks are and how they work. These two notes here: have a link somewhere in their contents to this note here: That's what a backlink is in Evernote and any other application that I have used them. If you open these notes here: You'll see that they'll have a backlink to this note here: In short: backlinks show you other notes that have a link to the current note you are viewing. 3 Link to comment

Oh yes, my fault, you are right ... in that way everything is right ... I have misunderstood this, thank you. What I still not understand: what is then the sense of backlinks in this way? 1 Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,935 Posted January 10, 2023 Level 5 Share Posted January 10, 2023 You can easily create a note link - it points from one note to another. For example you work on a text, and link up the research reference. But it only points one way. Now say you directly open the reference text, reading it. Backlinks allow to go to the note you are writing, without any additional step. Using links on a lot of notes creates a network of links between related notes. With backlinks the network can be navigated in all directions. 1 2 Link to comment
