everandever 0 Posted December 23, 2022 Posted December 23, 2022 Hello, I received an email telling me that there had been a request for a change of password. I read that I could ignore it if it wasn't coming from me. But when trying to log into Evernote with my password a page opened asking me to click on a link to reset my password. So I'm wondering, if the message I received only occurred after someone clicked on forgotten password with my email, without knowing my password. Or if this person had hacked my Evernote password but was unable to access it because they were confronted with the Evernote password reset page. Is there a way to find out? I have already changed my passwords but would still like to know. Thank you PS : On the Evernote access history I only see my IP, but I don't think that takes into account a connection that didn't go through.
Evernote Expert gazumped 12,630 Posted December 23, 2022 Evernote Expert Posted December 23, 2022 Hi. There's some general advice here - What to do if you suspect unauthorized access to your Evernote account. It's unlikely you'd be able to find out exactly what generated your recent experience - best reaction is (as you already have) to make sure your protections are up to date.
