[iPad] How to copy a PDF file from one note to another more efficiently

Recommended Posts

On my iPad I have a PDF inside a note. I need to transfer this PDF file to another note.

These are the simples methods iPadOS offer, which don't work in Evernote:

  • Dragging from one note to the other
  • Copying the file and pasting
  • Using clipboard managers like Yoink
  • Dragging from the note to the Files app (it exports the PDF as an HTML file with the wrong size) and dragging it back to the note

The only way I could make it work is saving the PDF to Files and then insert a new file on the new note. It's a very inefficient method.

Looks like if you select some text above (and/or below) with the pdf, then you can copy the pdf (and the text) and then paste into another note.

Just wanted to note and make clear from my earlier comment that this method *does* work if you have a tiny bit of text selected above or below the pdf attachment as well.
