I bought Evernote thinking it was going to help me run my company. I had an old friend he used it all the time with his small business.  What am I missing? Am I using the wrong software to keep track of everything that is happening or going to happen?

It depends on what you want to track and how you want to do it.

Nothing about Evernote is specific to running and managing a business. You can use it for that, but you can also use it for a hundred other things.

Since you don’t tell to which end you want to use EN, there is no way to tell if you bought the right software.

But happily you didn’t buy it at all, you just subscribed to use it. You have now everything in place to find out yourself, and maybe your friend will cooperate by showing you some possible uses.
