better user experience for Apple Pencil on iPad

It would be great to be able to use Apple Pencil to draw in the body of notes like with iOS notes app or Penultimate.

We will not see this, at least not for a long time. The format of a note is HTML, which is oriented to text.

If drawing with the pencil would be the focus- like in handwriting apps- the note would not hold text, it would hold a canvas. Probably text elements could be inserted, but the first use case would be drawing or handwriting.

His would be very impractical on most clients, only benefiting the small group of users using devices with a stylus.

If this is what you want, choose another app.
