endorice 1 Posted November 7, 2022 Posted November 7, 2022 I recently upgrade to a Pixel 6 and I'm running Evernote 10.42 on this client. When I try to browse by a Tag, the note count that appears by the Tag Name is correct, but then browsing by that Tag Name does not show all the notes. For example, I have a Tag named "Bookmark (3)" with 3 notes. Clicking on that Tag shows only 1 note. I see the problem across multiple Tag names. I deleted the Android cache for the Evernote app and also re-synced the client. Same behavior. What can I do to fix this issue? Thanks! 1
Neil Maxfield 155 Posted November 7, 2022 Posted November 7, 2022 Hello, and good evening. This certainly isn't expected behaviour. I have just tested 5 tags of my own and everything is as normal. If you like you may be able to raise a support ticket through here https://evernote.com/contact, or if you prefer I am happy to dial into a screenshare with you if you have time over the next few days. I am on London Time. Let us know how you get on and if I can help as described. Neil
endorice 1 Posted November 8, 2022 Author Posted November 8, 2022 Thanks for your reply! Looking at the support link, I'd have to upgrade my account for support. Should I try un-installing the Android app, and then re-installing? I'm also happy to do a morning call with you (8 AM here would be 3 PM London). Really appreciate your help! Gerald
Alessandra 38 Posted June 17 Posted June 17 I also have this problem now. Have there been any solutions? 1
Mike P 3,076 Posted June 17 Posted June 17 1 hour ago, Alessandra said: I also have this problem now. Have there been any solutions? I did recently have a case on my phone where selecting a tag did not give me the most recent notes, even though if I browsed I could see the notes and they were correctly tagged. I seem to remember that case going into the phone settings and "forcing close" of EN did the trick. 1
Level 5 PinkElephant 9,019 Posted June 17 Level 5 Posted June 17 It takes a while until the search index catches all updates on tags. I ran a small test a few weeks ago, with 3 tags: One was found after several minutes, the slowest took several hours This in search - on the notes they show very fast.
Alessandra 38 Posted June 23 Posted June 23 For me they do not show up for days and what is worse the problem is nor affecting also windows. The total tag count shows the correct number of notes but also a portion is displayed and this is days after they were tagged. @PinkElephant any ideas please? 1
Alessandra 38 Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Update it turns out the problem was with the web version for me. I logged out and then back in and once the web version updated itself then the android worked too
Alessandra 38 Posted July 1 Posted July 1 Further update the problem is getting worse and worse. Search by tag is now for me wholly unreliable. Some notes show up and some don't which do and which don't varies in each of my devices. The lag being now several days. Logging out and then back in does not work. Force stopping the app on android also does not do the trick. Any suggestions? 1
Fredda123 24 Posted July 18 Posted July 18 Having the same issue on iOS and desktop, 4 years after release 😮
Fredda123 24 Posted July 18 Posted July 18 So I actually found a work around. 1. Clicking the tag shows incorrect notes, which seems to directly just filter on the tag., 2. Searching the tag tag:"xxxx", shows incorrect notes it seems to just filter on the tag as when clicking on the tag. 3. But when i add a second quotation mark (") at the end of the search string it finds all notes correctly tag:"xxxx"" 4. If i save the search, with the 2nd " it does not work beacause then it only filters again like 1-2.
Bill Powers 0 Posted August 8 Posted August 8 My version of this problem (Windows and web) is that it only shows me the notes in my "Inbox" notebook, even with no filters specified and even when I've logged out and come back in. The search box version (i.e., tag:xxxxxx) generally works but occasionally has the same problem. Keep hoping with each update to see that this annoying problem has been corrected. I love many of the new features, but I'd trade them all for basic functionality. (Paying Evernote client for 12 years.)
fredhammersmith 59 Posted August 9 Posted August 9 Tags. Why, when I click on a tag, does the list of notes with that tag not appear quickly? It's such a basic function. So frustrating. If I use the Search function, it seems to work better. But why do I have to worry about such basic functions working (or not) every time I do an update? Why do I always worry about basic functionality after each upgrade?
fredhammersmith 59 Posted September 18 Posted September 18 Looks like the brand new Windows version fixed the problem. Hopefully they'll fix the Android very soon. 1
