(Archived) Newbie questions - saved searches and printing

I'm just getting started with EN and having problems finding the answers to some fairly simple questions.

How can I save searches in the Mac desktop? It's easy to do on the web, but I can't find it on the desktop.

Is it possible to concatenate note for printing? Selecting several and choosing print seems to print each one on a separate page. Selecting several and emailing them will concatenate them, but to get the file I've got to actually email it to myself. Is there any way of accessing the concatenation directly?

I don't know that the concatenation is possible, but I can help with the saved search. Just create your search in the search window, then click on the plus sign in the lower-left corner of the app and choose "new saved search."

Not the most intuitive system, I know ... at least the first time.
