Can't change panel size

When I place my cursor on the line between the left and right columns, I see the doubleheaded arrow, but cannot adjust the size.  I want the search on the left, but want to minimize it so I can see more of the results on the right or just go in and edit the document on the right with enough of it viewable.

You mean you can make it bigger, but you can't make it any smaller than what you have shown in the screenshot?

I don't think you can make it any smaller than what you have it.

You can collapse the other sidebar though to give yourself more space like this:

 

Also, I just wanted to make sure you new that you can tap this button here to make the editor take up the whole screen:
