Adding task inside a note

The What's New detail on Google Play for EN Android 10.38 (17th Aug 2022) includes:

"Automatically create tasks inside a note by typing "()" then a task description."

Does this actually work? It doesn't seem to for me...

I have asked support about it, and it was answered very quickly: No, there is no such function, at least not in the release 10.38.

But I think we will see it surfacing in one of the next releases …

I can confirm, EN 10.38 on Android has no such functionality although advertised in the release notes for 10.38. Very irritating that they post release notes not corresponding with their actual production release and do not correct it when knowing better afterwards.

The Evernote Experts group is told that the announcement was added in error. The Google Play Store listing is supposed to have been updated but the Apple App Store details cannot be changed until a new release is uploaded.

Thanks for the feedback. I wanted confirmation that I wasn't missing something. The generation if release notes does sometimes lack some accuracy.

However, I remain grateful at the regularity of updates that EN are issuing.
