Option to Add Personally Saved Templates to "Suggested Templates"

I'd like to suggest the option to select our personally created saved templates when choosing "Add more" in the suggested templates area.

That this is not already standard is just mindboggling at this point. I figured when templates rolled out this was just an MVP issues but it's been years now that we've had templates and we can't add our own to the short list? 

I have a template for creating lesson plans. I create 4-6 of them a week. Every time, it takes 3 clicks instead of one. I would really like to hear from the devs what is making this so hard to do that it isn't possible after...at least 7 years?
