How to get rid of formatting in notes?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I'm new to Evernote and just tried to use a note for my exhibit list.   I finally went to Word because I couldn't take the frustration anymore.

Copying / pasting titles of documents from the web resulted in HUGE fonts, one time I copied a link and was UNABLE to remove the link.  It was a multi-step process to change the font size and formatting, EVERY SINGLE TIME I pasted:

I could not figure out why my text is BELOW the numbers and could not fix it.

This is what a list is supposed to look like:

I'm not exactly a huge Word fan, but I can't figure out the Evernote notes. :(

What am I missing?

Much appreciate any pointers!

Rather than a simple paste you should try "paste and match style". Ctrl+shift+V on windows.

Doing what @Mike P suggests is the best and I paste into Evernote all the time like that.

If it's after the fact you can also highlight the weirdly-formatted text and use the "Simplify Formatting" or "Remove Formatting" options and then provide your own formatting style.
