Having problem switching email address

Hi all,

I have had two evernote accounts under two different email addresses. I just deactivated one of my accounts and I want to change the email address of my existing account to that other email address. I can't do this. I get the error message that  this account is already in use.

Any suggestions on what to do?

You can't switch to another address already registered.

You can merge two accounts, however. It needs to be done notebook by notebook, since the ENEX format does not contain the notebook information.
