arkanoid 1
Even in web browser, I can clip "full page, article or bookmark" upon selection. No way to "clip selection to Evernote". Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,780 Posted June 27, 2022 Level 5 Share Posted June 27, 2022 There is the web clipper, as browser extension, that does these and many more clipping jobs. How much of your subscription money would you like to see wasted on creating and maintaining (!) duplicate functionality ? I think there are many unique features on the backlog to keep the devs busy. arkanoid 1
Web clipper does not allow you to "clip selection" Web clipper does not work outside of web browser How on earth would this be "duplicate functionality"? Link to comment

You need to select the text first and then hit the webclipper icon. Alternatively you can copy the selection and use the global "paste into EN" shortcut. (alt+ctrl+V on windows but you will need to look up the Mac equivalent) Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,780 Posted June 28, 2022 Level 5 Share Posted June 28, 2022 In the browser see above. A general remark: EN currently puts features that work on all platforms above any platform specific features. You can send your idea to EN PM by the feedback function build into the clients. arkanoid 1
Hm, interesting. I definitely seen pages where selection was not available to Evernote clipper. Need to investigate further. Certainly not available for in-browser pdf viewer. Link to comment

There is always the alt+ctrl+V option in this case. And thanks ot the wonders of the EN OCR process, a screen shot (which is available for pdfs in the browser) will become searchable but obviously you can't do anything with the text. Link to comment
