0 Mike P 2,949
I agree that this is not correct for V10 so should be updated. I can't see any warning that this applies to an earlier version of Evernote. The new version should include both alt+shift+D (to add the date) and ctrl+shift+D (to add the time). 1 Link to comment
0 Level 5 PinkElephant 8,704 Posted June 26, 2022 Level 5 Share Posted June 26, 2022 It obviously was not updated. There is no newer article about the topic, so it probably never got attention. A support ticket max help to fix it. Link to comment
0 John in Michigan USA 140
Good catch. Could everyone please up-vote this idea? By which I mean, fix the software to match the documentation. It is hard to imagine how this could be a hard fix. Can any Mac users comment if date stamp or time stamp works? Last time I checked, there is supposed to be feature parity between Windows and Mac! 0 Level 5* CalS 5,307 Posted June 26, 2022 Level 5* Share Posted June 26, 2022 To not be at the whim of software and operating systems I think use of a simple text expander makes sense if one does a lot of date insertion in different apps. I use AutoHotKey these days. Here's a link to a simple date hotkey with AHK. May not be worth it for everyone. Link to comment

Last time I checked, there is supposed to be feature parity between Windows and Mac! There is complete parity between windows and Mac. Both work the same in V10: alt+shift+D to add the date and ctrl+shift+D to add the time on Windows and the equivalent on Mac. It is the documentation which needs updating. Incidentally, I would always recommend users use the in app list of keyboard shortcuts rather than relying on the documentation. They do change quite often and, in my experience, are more likely to be correct in the app list. Link to comment

Take a look at these instructions for date/time stamp:
https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/209004877-Add-date-and-time-stamps-to-your-notes#:~:text=You can also insert date,(Shift %2B Alt %2B D)
Since Evernote 10, Shift + Alt + D on Windows produces a date stamp, not a date & time stamp.
