Excel and Google spreadsheet tables cannot be copy-pasted any longer. (But there is a way)

I am a Mac user and was shocked to find out that Excel or Google spreadsheet tables can no longer be copied onto the Evernote page.

It is a change for the worse. I want that capability back.

Strangely, the grab-and-drop works perfectly between Evernote and Excel. (Not Google spreadsheet)  

But I want to use shortcut keys for copy-paste.

Does anyone know a good solution?

Oh, you are shocked ? See, I am not shocked. Why ?

Just tried several options on my Mac: XLSX and XLSB, throw in a PPTX, from the desktop or from a finder window deep in the folder structure, by selecting „Copy“ from the drop down menu (right mouse click) or by cmd-C, then inserted into a note by „Insert“ or by cmd-V.

All alternatives tried, everything pasted just fine.

Just 2 questions about your setup:

Which client do you use, and is it the AppStore version or the direct download ?
