Why do haver to log in to read forum entries?

Hi.  You've been posting here for 3 years or so and this only just started to annoy you?  To answer the question - most forums require some sort of registration so they have some control over posts.  Since this is an Evernote User forum it makes sense to check that you are a genuine user before you're allowed to comment further...

You're welcome to post. The login can be a one off thing. I never need to log back in unless I choose to log out. So it really isn't a big deal.

The EN forum behaves as many others do:

When I go to the forum using a privacy browser that does not have my login, I can enter, open any thread and search. No problem at all while on guest status.

The only thing that for good reason is not allowed as a guest is active participation, like posting or opening new threads.
