save as template grey'd out

I'm trying to create a template in web. I only use web and maybe the mobile app sometimes.

Saving own templates is a subscription feature.

I have a Professional subscription, and I just checked, and I also find Save as template grayed out. I also checked in my up-to-date Evernote Windows app, and it's grayed out there too. @chrisdelrey, this is not something that I need to do very often, but if it's important to you, I would definitely raise a ticket with Support, and tell them you're not the only one reporting this.

In fact, I just searched the forums, and found this was reported already in February. The intrepid @Mike P discovered that if you insert a header by typing # a (or select large, medium, or small), even if you then delete it (or use Ctrl+Z to undo it, I find), the Save as template option becomes available. Clearly a bug.

After chatting with Support, they showed me, making any edit to an existing document, it has to be in the body, will now expose the 'Save as Template' option.

Not as straightforward as one would think but at least we found it.

Glad it's sorted out. Maybe not a bug, then, just an odd way of doing things.
