FreddoB 2
Hi All - Too often, but not daily, my Mac will crash and restart. I open the logs to see the cause and it reads: Evernote Helper. This has happened at least 10 times before I finally decided to write in here about it. T Evernote information: Evernote 10.36.4-mac-mas-public (459064) Editor: v147.0.18080 Service: v1.52.2 Mac information: System Version: macOS 11.6.5 (20G527) Kernel Version: Darwin 20.6.0 Boot Volume: Macintosh HD Boot Mode: Normal Secure Virtual Memory: Enabled System Integrity Protection: Enabled Time since boot: 9 minutes Please let me know if anyone else is getting this and what I can do. Thank you! All the best - Fred Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,112 Posted May 11, 2022 Level 5 Share Posted May 11, 2022 Any reason why your are not on the latest MacOS ? I can’t duplicate your experience, since I am running MacOS 12. If it crashes, it usually means the install has a problem. I would completely uninstall the app, using an uninstaller like AppCleaner making sure everything is deleted. Then restart the Mac, and install again using the direct install, not the AppStore version. This should solve it if it happens because of the installation. If it repeats itself after that, it is likely that there is an interaction with other code. In this case contact EN support, attaching the activity log and if possible the Macs crash report. 1 Link to comment
FreddoB 2
Hi and thank you! I installed and ran EN through the AppCleaner and then downloaded EN 10.37.3 and installed it. We'll wait and see how things go from here. The reason I'm not running the latest macos on this machine is it is a work laptop and they typically roll out upgrades so I just sit tight and wait. Hopefully, the new installation will do the trick. If it errors, as you suggested, I'll post more information. All the best - Fred 1 Link to comment
