Glitch while entering tasks into iphone

I've noticed a glitch when I try to enter tasks into EN in iphone.  I go to the Tasks section and press on "Add new task".  Immediately the field of focus jumps all the way to the top of the screen and is now directly in the middle of the blank rectangular cutout on the top.  I can barely see what I'm typing like this.  I realize that I can add Tasks from other notes and that I don't have to add it from here but this is the way I would prefer to do it ie: I can review my current tasks and then add a new task at the same time.  It's somewhat annoying and was wondering if anyone else has noticed this?
