As a workaround, (and similar to the quote emoji that @agsteele uses) I like to prepend a vertical color bar to the beginning of the paragraph and indent it where needed with bullets. Like so:

 

This is easier for me to do on the Desktop versions as I keep a note in a new window open at all times and I have that vertical bar to easily copy.
