ChrisW7 2 Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 I've accidentally added a misspelt word to the dictionary and I can't work out how to remove it, nor find the location of the dictionary to edit it. Does anyone have a solution for this? Many thanks.
Level 5 PinkElephant 9,253 Posted April 1, 2022 Level 5 Posted April 1, 2022 AFAIK EN dos not have an own spell checking dictionary, but uses the one installed with the OS. This is the place where to correct the wrong spelling added. Maybe you can identify the Windows spell checking dictionary - I am on a Mac.
ChrisW7 2 Posted April 2, 2022 Author Posted April 2, 2022 Thanks PinkElephant. I found my mis-spelt word in all four installed dictionaries on my system. In Windows 10, they're in the folder %APPDATA%\Roaming\Microsoft\Spelling\ 2
ericMB 16 Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 On Windows 11, the full path didn't quite work, but part of it did. I found the dictionary by going to %APPDATA%\ and then searching for dictionary, That led me to CustomizedDictionary.tet in a subfolder that had my user ID number.
