Why does Evernote need Delete permission from Google ?

Why does EN need delete permission from Google ? It's not the default option for an app, it's an additional permission that the EN developers are requesting.
I can't think of any circumstances where I'd want EN to delete data from Google. Are there some valid reasons or is it just IMHO poor permission management ?

Hi.  Evernote does quite a lot with and through Google like Attach Google Drive files to notes - you'd have to ask Support for more details on that permission though.

AFAIK these allowances are not granular - you see it is mentioned in a row of other capabilities as a package. I think there are 2 main levels - read only (which is not enough) and full editing, which is what you see.

It is up to you to grant it, or not. If you don’t, the features related to Google services will not work.
