Search all 'shared with me' notes using API

A way to search all 'shared with me notes' using API would help.
Currently only user created/shared notes are searchable

If i'm not wrong there is a way to search notes inside shared notebook but shared notes itself is not searchable by any means using APIs now (Using evernote JDK )

Do I understand correctly that I can search within a shared notebook via the API, but can't search a user's account for shared notebooks?
