How to stop Word docs opening in EN

I have not found instructions to stop Word and Excel docs opening in EN. I do not want this to occur. Suggestions?

EN will not open any attachment just like that. But it may show a preview - which depends on what apps are available on your computer.

To stop that, select the attachment, click on the 3 dots above (or sometimes below) it and choose to show it as an attachment. There is no general setting, you need to do it with every attachment you want to view in a different way.
