Jancis6 0
Evernote is causing a problem in another program that I use. Until this error message started coming up I'd never heard of Evernote. I did a search and found it installed on my computer. I don't know if it was installed when I upgraded to Windows 11 last month or if it was there in Windows 10. Can I delete it or is it something that's needed and used by Windows? Link to comment
lost_gweedo 72
Evernote is not bundled with windows. Was your computer new to you (used) or brand new? Uninstall through the 'add and remove programs' option in windows settings if you don't want it, windows doesn't need it. Link to comment

When you still decide to uninstall, I would use a tool like Revo Uninstaller (Free on the Internet, I think). If you use the regular Windows method, it may be that traces of EN stay on your drive, taking up space you may want to use. 1 Link to comment
Jancis6 0
@lost_gweedo Thanks for your reply. It turned out Evernote wasn't actually installed, the package was simply downloaded into my appdata folder. I deleted the files but it didn't get rid of the error message in my other program. Level 5 PinkElephant 5,564 Posted February 25, 2022 Level 5 Share Posted February 25, 2022 If there is still an error message, ignore it or drill deeper. To me it looks like something was installed in your registry, and is now crying about the lost link. Link to comment
lost_gweedo 72
If not comfortable in the registry, you could install evernote, then follow @PinkElephant's suggestion of a third party uninstaller. The uninstall software should be able to follow the breadcrumbs back to the registry and any other system files that might be causing the current error message. 1 Link to comment
