Features in Evernote Legacy that I cannot find in latest version of Evernote

Recommended Posts

In the old legacy version, I used to have access to these two features:

1. Adding "Note Count" in front of each notebook.

2. Selecting multiple files and then choosing "Save Attachments to Folder ..."

Why these very useful features been stripped off the latest Evernote edition?!?!?!

Thank you.

There is an option in the view menu to display the number of notes

No easy solution here. If EN legacy ever stops being availabel the workaround would be to merge the individual notes (tick "keep copy of original notes" in advanced options) and then right click the body of the merged note and choose save attachments. You could then delete the merged note.

Thanks Mike for the useful tips. Do you know why Evernote development team strips out a useful feature. One would expect additional features to become available in the future versions, instead of losing existing ones!!! Thank you.

I think their strategy has been to introduce a basic product and then add new features (tasks, home, calendar etc) and old features either as part of a (secret) grand plan or as a result of user feedback. We're on version 30 and earlier versions had many more missing features. There is always legacy to fall back on.

From how I understand the agile development method, they keep an eternal backlog of items. It rolls over with every release.

If you want any specific feature back or added, you should contact support, or use the feedback function. Postings in the forum AFAIK do not enter into the process.
