Better Multi-User Editing

Sylvio

Idea

It would be really neat if multiple users could edit a shared note at once. This way, users could see updates and changes as they happen.

If not, at least a "take over editing" button. Sometimes users do not log off, but are done editing, but it stays locked for us because it doesn't recognize that the user has stopped editing and we have to refresh our tabs about five times. If a user could "Release edit" or other uses had an option to "Take over editing" button, that would be useful. I know WordPress has this. If multiple users are editing, it would say: "Sorry, (name) is currently editing. Take over?" Would make the process quicker if multi-user editing isn't such a priority.

Google developed a new http protocol, a new method of transferring data type-safe and spent hundreds of millions on infrastructure to get this working efficiently for Google Docs. Of course, now that Google has done that, Evernote could leverage these new technologies, just like a large number of other companies have done so.
