Tim Kowal 22
Control Q is a powerful tool. But it doesn't work all the time. For example, when I'm editing a note, Control Q is defined as the hotkey to "Justify" text. And you cannot change or remove that hotkey. (Justified text is barbaric.) So when I'm inside a note and I want to us the Control Q search, all I get is justified text and no search. This would be a simple fix. 1 Link to comment
Jon/t 1,284
I found a workaround for this... what you need to do is edit the keyboard shortcut but find a key that's not being used by the editor. I changed it to CTRL NUM PAD MINUS KEY and it works from within a note... just need to find a key that the editor or the app doesn't use. To edit the shortcut click the keyboard icon, bottom left and then search for Switch to. Edited: for clarity & speeling misatkes. 2 1 Link to comment
Tim Kowal 22
I took that advice and changed the quick search to Ctrl Shift Q. I wish I could change the Justify text instead, but that one is locked. Thanks, good suggestion. 1 Link to comment
