Evernote Desktop window is too big.

I can only resize the window to 60% of the screen aprox.

I would naturally like to use it on the side while I read a pdf on the other side of the screen. I can't do it with evernote desktop.

 

You can see on the screenshot the The littlest that i can make the window look.

My windows version is 8.1, tho. Maybe that has something to do with it?

Can't remember if this works on Windows 8 (it was a long time since I last used it) but why can't you use Shift+Tab to switch focus to the PDF window and back,  or just shrink the window to the Windows taskbar?  Evernote is not supposed to work at all on Win 8 AFAIK...
