Evernote on Mac will not open

Evernote (v. 10.27.5) gets stuck on the Getting started screen. The circle keeps revolving and the tips are presented below, but the app will not start. iMac with Big Sur v. 11.5.6.

Have reinstalled Evernote with latest version and restarted the Mac. Anyone?

Are you on a free plan ?

Then you probably exceed your device limit.

When you go to your account page, tab devices, you can check how many devices are synced with your account. To sync a new device (it may be EN treats the Mac as „new“), you need to be down to 1 synced device only.

If on a subscription, there must be another reason - subscribers have no device limit.
