Política absurda da Evernote

Desde o dia 25 de agosto de 2012, sou usuário Premium da Evernote e ontem, dia 19 de dezembro, dia do meu aniversário, recebi um baita presente dessa empresa: minha conta foi rebaixada para Free. A justificativa deles é que a opção de renovação automática estava cancelada. Não lembro de ter optado por isso, pois venho renovando a assinatura normalmente, ao longo desses quase 10 anos como usuário Premium. Pois bem, agora querem que eu faça uma nova assinatura com os preços atuais: dos R$ 80 que pagava anualmente, agora querem cobrar R$ 225,00 pelo mesmo plano! Aqui em casa temos 3 assinaturas e, pelo visto, vou ser obrigado a cancelar todas. Obrigado Evernote pela consideração, e pelo meu presente!

Estou tendo o mesmo problema.  Já estou no Evernote a cerca de seis anos e quero pagar a renovação da minha assinatura. Utilizo o Mercado pago e todos as minhas senhas estão no evernote, e acontece que agora não consigo acessar mina conta. Muito louco isso. Não entendo por que me bloquear; uso o evernote para quase tudo e agora fiquei sem saber o que fazer. Engraçado que eu quero pagar mas não tenho outra opção.  O Suporte não disponibiliza nem um telefone ou whatsapp para comunicação. Estou Sem Saída.

We other users here can’t know what may have happened, and which policies may apply in case of Brazilian accounts.

Maybe the prices have not been adapted to the exchange rate for a long time: 80 R$ is roughly 15US$, this is not even the charge for one of the old, very restricted Plus subscriptions. EN tries to make sure all users pay roughly the same for the same subscriptions. When it was not adapted for a long time, it can result in a sharp rise of the local price.

In fact anybody experiencing this should be grateful about the heavily rebated subscriptions they had for years - seems this party is over now. Nothing to enjoy, but in hard currency, the prices are what they are. EN needs to pay their cost in hard currency as well.

About access: When an account is downgraded, all content stays on the server, nothing gets lost. You can access it, but only following the rules of the Free plan. This means no more than 2 devices, and some other restrictions.

The encryption is available on all plans - even on Free you can still access your encrypted content. Just a word of warning: EN is NOT build as a password vault. You can obviously use it to store passwords, but you do it at your own peril. Don’t come back and complain if you loose passwords or worse content or other value protected by them. Get a password manager, move everything there,  then completely delete the notes in EN containing such sensitive information.

To get back to a paid account, you can contact EN support to help you. Choose Billing or Account as ticket type. Or use the online function to upgrade your account. Probably a payment through iTunes or the PlayStore can work around payment restrictions (not sure if there are any in relation to Brazil - we know there are problems with accounts in India).
