Clear search box after WIN + SHIFT + F shortcut

Previous version of the Evernote cleared search box after search shortcut (WIN + SHIFT + F). Now I need to clear it manually before every search.

I agree this is annoying. It's been discussed before. My best work around, if you want to use the keyboard, is to to do alt+ctrl+2 (open notes) first before then usng win+shift+F or alt+ctrl+F. Or you can do ctrl-A and then del. Whichever way it is still an extra step. I suppose EN feel that it's important to be able to edit an existing search rather than have to automatically start a new one every time.
