Notebooks in Space still show up on navigation panel after disabling

I guess this is a bug? All the notes in Spaces I am in show up on the left navigation panel. They are cluttering the panel and messing up the organization of my personal notebooks. How can I make them go away? I have already unchecked “show notebooks located in spaces.”
