Why does it take long to copy (for backup) contents of "Cache"?

I periodically backup all files under "Document" and that includes "\Evernote\LocalStorage\Cache".  Noticed that it takes long time to copy files in this cache folder, e.g. f_00007c.  Can I delete files from the "Cache" folder?

No idea. Usually a „Cache“ is a temporary storage not meant to keep data long term.
