After using webclipper, open in desktop app doesn't work

I'm using v.10.25.6 on my Windows 10 machine. Everything works fine except for awhile now, after using the webclipper and Google Chrome, I get the query "open in browser or desktop" (something like that). Opening in browser works but open in desktop does not. I have to manually open the desktop app. Any solutions or comments?

I don't believe that the web clipper (designed work inside a browser) offers the option to open the resulting note in a desktop application.

It does. After saving a clip with the webclipper, I get the following two screens. Please try it!

I apologise, I find I do have the page referred to after all.  Likewise clicking on the open in desktop button doesn't appear to work at first.  Instead I right click the button and choose open link in new tab.  THis opens the desktop app.  The first time I had to allow the linking to go ahead.

Thanks agsteele. It looks like there is definitely some unplanned behavior of this function. I'll see if I can notify EN.
