PUT INSERT TIME BACK INTO USEABILITY WITH INSERT DATE!!!! (Shift + Alt + D)

Recommended Posts

Evernote, why did you get rid of insert time? I used it all the time. As an attorney, I have been trying to used Evernote as my digital filing, and inserting date and time was very helpful. Why did you do away with it? Seems many users share the same. You still have instructions saying it can be done, but it doesn't work. I am using evernote on windows desktop.

Hi.  This is a -mainly- user2user Forum and Evernote don't take bug reports from or explain themselves to individual posts.  To get a personal response,  please contact Support at https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new

As possible work-arounds while you wait for a human response,  the Legacy apps are still available for desktop with the 'old' date options;  plus there are many text expander apps that will create a current date and/ or time in any format and insert it with one keypress.  I use Phrase Express for ISO date stamps since my system time options do not include that choice.

This issue has been well rehearsed in the forums. Apart from the use of two separate shortcuts to add date and then time, many others use a program that automates the process separately to Evernote. Have a search for the solutions offered by others.

It is a shame that EN have not updated the document you quote to include the "add time shortcut" for windows (ctrl+shift+D). Fortunately the list of keyboard shortcuts (ctrl+/) is up to date.
